The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) was founded in 1804 in London, England, as the Horticultural Society of London and gained it’s present name in a Royal Charter was granted in 1861. The Royal Horticultural Society is the UK’s leading gardening charity, who’s charitable purpose is to encourage and improve science, art and horticulture.
The charity promotes horticulture through flower shows such as RHS Chelsea, Hampton Court Palace and Tatton Park, it also supports training for amateur and professional gardeners.
The featured Botanical Illustration, is a true to life representation of the ‘Endless Summer’ Hydrangea. A popular variety which like it’s name suggests, a beautiful bloom that lasts throughout the summer months.
